This may be true of the elegant building which dates from 1880, the early “belle époque”, but antiquated it certainly isn't. Guests can enjoy fine views, an exquisite sense of calm, a subtle blend of modern amenities and period style. Firstly, all of the 75 rooms are equipped with bath or shower, WC, cable TV, direct-dial telephone, minibar and safe, and secondly, the Sauvage team is there to ensure that guests feel completely at ease in a friendly family atmosphere. The Parkhotel du Sauvage aims to provide a special experience for all its guests during their stay here in Meiringen, from folk music to farmers' buffets, Mexican evenings to games evenings, raft building, a walk through the caves in the summer and skiing and sledging parties in the the winter, and jazz and disco evenings in our dance bar. Sie haben recht: Unser Hotel wurde tatsächlich 1880 im Frühjungendstil erbaut, trotzdem ist es in keiner Weise verstaubt. Denn erstens wurde das Haus sorgfältig restauriert und bietet darum jeden 4-Sterne Komfort: alle 75 Zimmer (bitte beachten Sie den Unterschied zwischen unseren Standard- Zimmern (18m2 – 21m2) und unseren Deluxe-Zimmern (30m2) mit bequemen Sitzecken) sind mit Bad oder Dusche, WC, Kabel-TV, Direktwahltelefon, Minibar und Safe ausgestattet, und zweitens sorgen wir das Sauvage-Team – nomen est omen – dafür, dass es bei uns ungezwungen, locker, sehr herzlich und ganz sicher nie verstaubt zu und her geht. ... du Sauvage heißt ja zum Wilden Mann. Aber keine Angst, ganz so wild sind wir nicht, obwohl immer etwas „läuft“ bei uns. Seien es Abendunterhaltungen mit Folkloremusik und Bauernbuffets, mexikanische Nächte mit heißer Gitarrenmusik, Spielabend, Floss bauen am See, abenteuerliche Wanderungen in Höhlen und Kristallgrüften im Sommer und tolle Ski- und Schlittelparties im Winter, Jazz- und Discoabende in unserem Bar-Dancing. Selbstverständlich kann man sich bei uns aber auch einfach ganz bequem zurücklehnen und sich dabei ganz herrlich ausruhen.
