It was constructed using the best local materials: sillar, or crushed volcanic ash from the surrounding volcanos for the wall. Marble and mahagony floors. Hand-crafted wrought iron for the interior fixtures. In 2002, we bought the house and transformed it into a European-style three star guesthouse. We worked hard to maintain the original aura. But we also added private bathrooms in each room and other modern features. The result is a careful mix of Old World grandeur and contemporary amenities. We offer seven spacious rooms. They are on the first and second floors of the house. Each room has a double or king sized bed with a wooden frame custom- made by local craftsmen. We provide sheets made of soft 100 percent cotton, cotton towels, and alpaca blankets. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower or tub. Cotton towels are also provided. All rooms are equipped with telephones, cable and clock-radios. CD players are available, too. A full buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. | ||
